PRINCIPLES OF DIGITALIZATION IN FOREIGN PARASITOLOGY

View through CrossRef
Parasitic diseases are widespread in the world and represent medical, social and economic problems for the public health of a huge number of countries. The software products currently used in foreign parasitology for information processing are designed for a wide range of users. Among them, it is possible to distinguish both professional products that require certain training for use, and those that are less demanding for the training of personnel working with them. These products are being actively developed and tested in many countries around the world. The article provides an analytical review of existing methods of digitalization in foreign parasitology. Possible methodological techniques for conducting parasitological research in connection with modern principles of digital technologies are demonstrated. According to the literature, scientists from such countries as Germany, New Zealand, Italy and Belarus have achieved the greatest success in implementing the principles of digitalization in parasitological science. Analysis of the spread of digitalization in foreign parasitology shows that it is increasingly integrated into the usual methods of research. It can be concluded that the use of modern digital technologies in the near future may find the widest application in various areas of parasitological research.
