Splitski nakladnik, tiskar i knjižar Antonio Zannoni sve je dosad bio velika nepoznanica u povijesti splitskoga nakladništva, tiskarstva i knjižarstva. U ovom se radu, na temelju dostupnih arhivskih izvora i novina te Zannonijeve nakladničko-tiskarske produkcije, nastoji istražiti i rekonstruirati poslovanje njegove tiskare te utvrditi kakvu su ulogu tiskara i knjižara imale u cjelokupnom društveno-kulturnom životu grada Splita u drugoj polovini 19. stoljeća.
