Directivity Improvement of Five-Element Yagi-Uda Antenna by Increasing Director Elements in Comparison with Three-Element Yagi-Uda Antenna

View through CrossRef
The main objective of this project is to improve the directivity of Microstrip Yagi-Uda antenna by increasing the director elements in comparison to 3-element Yagi-Uda antenna. Materials and methods: In this project, we are using two groups 3-elements (Reflector-1, Dipole-1, Director-1) and 5-elements (Reflector-1, Dipole-1, Director-3) Yagi-Uda antenna with sample size of 20 (10 for 3 element Yagi and 10 for 5 element Yagi). Results: Directivity of 5-element Yagi-Uda antenna is increased by 1.55dB in comparison to 3-element Yagi-Uda antenna and attained significance ratio p(<0.05). Conclusion: 5-element Yagi-Uda antenna appears to have a better directivity (dB) compared to the 3-element Yagi-Uda antenna.
