STUDY OF THE TECHNOLOGY OF MANUFACTURING PLASTIC THREADED PARTS BY INJECTION MOLDING

View through CrossRef
In the manufacture of plastic parts, in most cases, progressive technological processes are used: pressing, injection molding etc. Plastic parts have found wide application in oilfield equipment. They are used to manufacture bearing bushings, flywheels, connecting rods, gear wheels and other parts. The ever-increasing use of plastic parts in oilfield equipment causes the need for the most complete coverage of all issues related to the actual accuracy of manufacturing plastic parts. Manufacturing threads on plastic parts is comparatively more difficult than on metals. This is due to the physical and mechanical processes occurring in the process of manufacturing specific threaded parts from plastics by pressing and injection molding. Also, the mechanics of forming plastic threads on parts of oilfield equipment differ in their specific properties from threads obtained by mechanical processing on metals. Since threaded surfaces on plastic parts are formed in press molds depending on materials and modes: temperature, pressure and manufacturing time. These operating and control parameters play a certain role in ensuring the physical and mechanical properties of parts during the manufacturing process. The article examines the studies of the influence of process modes on the quality indicators of parts made of thermoplastic and thermosetting materials. Keywords: plastic parts, injection molding, process modes, threaded surfaces, press mold.
