SOCIAL SENSITIVITY IN THE SELECTED PLAYS OF MAHESH DATTANI

Mahesh Dattani is a modern Indian playwright who is well-known for confronting the complexities of Indian culture. The issues of social awareness that are present in the plays that he has chosen are discussed here. The plays of Dattani, which are often distinguished by their daring portrayal of forbidden issues, provide a challenge to the conventions of society and investigate the underlying currents of gender, sexuality, and the dynamics of communities.
