THE IRRATIONAL AND THE NON-RATIONALIZABLE IN THE PARADIGM OF THE POST-NON-CLASSICAL RATIONALITY PHILOSOPHY

The article examines the idea of concepts such as the irrational and the non-rationalizable in the context of their interaction with the post-non-classical rationality. The latter is characterized by volatility, uncertainty, ambiguity, complicacy, and unpredictability. The author compares the rational, the irrational, and the non-rationalizable, as well as the ways they influence each other’s capabilities. The connection of the irrational with the post-non-classical rationality can be revealed through the philosophical paradigms of rnmplicacy, man’s dialogue with nature, and the process of how chaos gives birth to order. The non-rationalizable, manifested itself in a dialogue with the rational, gives rise to a new format of mindsets: complex systemic (complicacy) thinking. The paper emphasizes not just mutual tolerance or affection that the rational, the irrational and the non-rationalizable have; but rather the importance and necessity of their joint functioning in the conditions of the post-non-classical rationality to organize the interaction of different forms of mindsets. As a prerequisite, the study has chosen neutral or purely positive manifestations of the irrationality (which might also contain a few destructive characteristics) that can have a beneficial effect on the interaction of all three considered components taking part in the process of cognition: the rational, the irrational and the non-rationalizable.
