Aged 26, wearing a cream silk pleated blouse with high neck and lace insertion, with necklace and brooch. Mrs Vera Ford, sister of donor, believes the portrait to have been finished from memory since her mother was unable to sit for the artist following the death of one of her children in a house fire.
