El pensamiento narratológico discursivo de José María Arguedas

This article focuses on the discursive narratological thought of the writer José María Arguedas. The aim of this inquiry is to understand Arguedas's narratological ideas regarding the figure of the author and narrative literary language. From a narratological perspective, the article examines Arguedas's reflections on these two central themes of literary discourse. Through documentary research, all documents in which Arguedas's narratological ideas could be recorded were analyzed. The study reveals that Arguedas defines himself as a writer gifted at narrating and that, assuming his status as a writer, he reflects on the process of creating a special literary language capable of representing the sociocultural reality of the Andean Quechua world with greater realism within the discursive framework of his postcolonial narrative. His theorization of literary language is based on intuitive reasoning.
