View through CrossRef
This study aims to develop a multicultural education guidebook specifically designed for senior high school biology teachers. The guidebook is intended to assist teachers in designing and implementing biology instruction that respects students' diverse cultural backgrounds while integrating values of tolerance, empathy, and equity. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), limited to the Development stage. Data collection techniques included interviews with high school biology teachers and expert validation of the multicultural education guidebook. The findings indicate that the developed guidebook, up to the Development stage, is needed by biology teachers. Based on the validation results from four expert validators, the guidebook obtained an Aiken’s validity score 0,93 categorize valid as Content Validity. Thus, the multicultural education guidebook for biology teachers is considered valid and feasible as a reference and companion in implementing multicultural oriented biology teaching.
