Background: Glomerulonephritis (GN) is a group of renal disorders that cause Glomerular inflammation. These diseases significantly increase the worldwide burden of chronic kidney disease (CKD), causing global healthcare system issues. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the predominant types of glomerulonephritis seen in patients who visited the Nephrology ward at Saidu Teaching Hospital in Swat.Materials and Methods: This Cross sectional study conducted at Nephrology ward, Saidu Group of Teaching Hospitals between 21st July 2022 to 21st June 2023. The research included 65 glomerulonephritis patients. Patients having a confirmed diagnosis of glomerulonephritis based on clinical, laboratory, and histological findings meet the inclusion criteria. Patients with incomplete data or other main renal disorders are not eligible. Results: The research comprised 65 patients, 40(61.5%) of whom were Males and 25(38.5%) of whom were Females in terms of age distribution, the majority of patients were between the ages of 31 and 50, with 30.8% between the ages of 41 and 50 and 23.1% between the ages of 31 and 40. IgA glumerulonephritis was the most common type of glomerulonephritis observed in 18 patients (27.7%) patients followed by SLE glomerulonephritis in 13 patients (20.0%).Conclusion: IgA glumerulonephritis was the most common type of glomerulonephritis followed by SLE glomerulonephritis. Keywords: Chronic kidney disease, Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, Glomerulonephritis, IgA nephropathy, Membranous nephropathy.
