The Technologies for African Agricultural Transformation (TAAT) Program is funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. It is implemented by the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) in close collaboration with other centers of the Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and specialized institutions such as the African Agricultural Technology Foundation (AATF), the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA), the International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) and others. Purpose
This document describes the approach taken by the TAAT Program in the execution of its Country Engagement Function, whose goal is to strengthen Africa’s agricultural systems by identifying entry points for partnerships capable of modernizing technologies, engaging and working more effectively with Sub-Regional Organizations (SROs), and national stakeholders. It further distinguishes the benefits of partnering with TAAT as a technology broker of choice for those who need these technologies.
