League of Nations Official Receives American Hebrew Medal. James G McDonald, League of Nations High Commissioner for refugees, receive the medal for 1934, donated by the American Hebrew magazine, in recognition of his outstanding service in the promotion of better understanding between Christian and Jew in America. Pictured at the presentation ceremony at the Temple Emanu El Community House, New York City, are left to right, George Gordon Battle, noted attorney, James G McDonald, Felix Warburg, who presided at the ceremonies, and Rabbi Isaac Landman, editor of the American Hebrew. 3 January 1935
