RUSSIAN NATIONAL ANTHEMS: LINGUO-MENTAL SONOGRAMS OF THE NATION

The current article presents a diachronic analysis of words and music of national anthems of Russia as being most valuable for national identity. Historical, political, and social background is given representing certain stages of the country’s development that were reflected in the anthems’ words and music. The outlook for further detailed research is seen in comparing the perception of historical variants of the National Anthem of Russia necessary to understand the coherent picture of national identity forming.
