We report the first measurement of transverse energy (
dE
T
/
d
η
) in Au + Au collisions at 200 GeV using the sPHENIX detector at RHIC.
dE
T
/
d
η
measurement provides key insights into quark-gluon plasma (QGP) formation and is one of the standard candles. The sPHENIX calorimeter system enables precise energy measurements, with detector response corrected using Monte Carlo simulations. Results show a strong centrality dependence, consistent with prior PHENIX and STAR data within uncertainties.
