Indonesia is known as a country that has a high biodiversity, but the available data are still very limited. One of the biodiversity that is owned by Indonesia is Kesambi (Schleichera oleosa). This plant has considerable potential, therefore supporting data is needed for further development both for the benefit of medicinal plants and for others. Anatomical character identification research aims to determine the important characteristics of plant species originating from various growing habitats. The anatomical characters of the leaves observed included xylem and phloem thickness, cuticle thickness, epidermal thickness, trichome type, average trichome length, stomata type, stomata length and width. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Kesambi tree that grows both in the lowlands and highlands in Malang City and in Nganjuk Regency has the same anatomical character, namely the type of trichomes and stomata. While the other characters show differences in size. The higher the place where the kesambi tree grows, the thinner the phloem and xylem on the stems are observed. While the other parameters did not show the pattern formed on the size of the characters observed in both the leaves and stems.   Keyword: anatomi, kesambi (Schleichera oleosa), environmental factors
