Mapeamento Geomorfológico do Município de Cajueiro da Praia, Costa Litorânea do Estado do Piauí (Geomorphological Mapping of the Municipality of Cajueiro da Praia, Coastal Coast of the State of Piauí)

O presente artigo apresenta o resultado do mapeamento das unidades geomorfológicas do município de Cajueiro da Praia localizado na planície costeira do estado do Piauí. Tem por objetivo identificar e caracterizar as unidades de geomorfologia, considerando as relações e integrações dos fatores estruturais associados a geologia, pedologia e relevo. O estudo foi realizado mediante uso de Sistema de Informações Geográficas (SIG). Quanto a metodologia, foi feito primeiramente um levantamento das bases cartográficas existentes acerca da área de estudo, posteriormente foi feito o mapeamento da carta temática básica de geomorfologia, buscando fazer uma análise e identificação das unidades geomorfológicas presente nas áreas de estudo. Como resultado foram identificados, 7 unidades geomorfológicas no município de Cajueiro da Praia, são elas: Praia, Delta e Canais fluviais, Planície Marinha, Planície Lacustre, Planície Eólica, Terraço Marinho, Tabuleiro Costeiro. A importância em fazer esse mapeamento é a capacidade de analisar de forma integrada os ambientes, contribuindo para o conhecimento da área, auxiliando também no planejamento e conservação da região.  A B S T R A C TThe present article presents the result of the mapping of the geomorphological units of the municipality of Cajueiro da Praia located in the coastal plain of the state of Piauí. It aims to identify and characterize the geomorphology units, considering the relationships and integrations of the structural factors associated with geology, pedology and relief. The study was carried out using the Geographic Information System (GIS). As for the methodology, it was first made a survey of the existing cartographic bases about the study area, later the mapping of the basic geomorphic thematic chart was done, seeking to make an analysis and identification of the geomorphological units present in the study areas. As a result, 7 geomorphological units were identified in the municipality of Cajueiro da Praia. These are: Beach, Delta and Fluvial Channels, Marine Plain, Lake Plain, Wind Plain, Marine Terrace, Coastal Board. The importance of doing this mapping is the ability to analyze the environments in an integrated way, contributing to the knowledge of the area, also helping in the planning and conservation of the region.Keywords: Geomorphology.
