Atherosclerosis: immunogenetic and metabolic aspects of pathogenesis

The monograph presents modern data on the inflammatory theory of atherosclerosis. The information of domestic and foreign researchers concerning the role of the cytokine system, indicators of degradation of the intercellular matrix and adipokines in the activation of immuno-inflammatory damage to the arterial wall is presented. The results of the author's research on the features and patterns of immunogenetic links of pathogenesis in different clinical variants of atherosclerosis are presented.
It is intended for allergists-immunologists, doctors of clinical laboratory diagnostics, therapists, cardiologists, as well as for students of medical universities.
