In this session, which opens the series of webinars and talks related to the Springer UNITEXT Series, Alfio Quarteroni will interview Luigi Ambrosio about his experience as a student of the Scuola Normale - under the guidance of Ennio De Giorgi - as a researcher, as a teacher and as an author, having been lucky enough to be able to introduce many brilliant students to research. The speakers will also dive into the subject of Optimal Transport, and will discuss the most challenging open problems and the future developments in the field.
