This preprint notes my reflections on processing (cleaning) and analysing early grade reading data from the Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA) in my context, South Africa. The preprint is a brief overview of what (student) researchers should think about when using data from EGRA. It is likely that this preprint will be updated as I get feedback from others and continue working with EGRA data.
