The book presents the course of Czech dialectology, as it was taught for many generations of students at Moscow State University by the founder of the national school of Czech studies Professor A.G. Shirokova. The course takes into account the Czech tradition of the active use of vernacular and dialect not only in informal everyday communication, but also in drama, fiction and cinema. Intended for students of Czech studies of universities of the level C1 in the Czech language.
