Folio 62 from a Section of a Manuscript of the Qur'an: Decorated Page (recto), Sura 4: 148, Beginning of Section (Juz') VI (verso)

This folio (which is not bound into the manuscript) contains a decorative page on one side and text on the other. The text is sura 4:148. It is elaborately decorated with a thick gold border and gold medallions in the margin. Sura 4:148 is the beginning of the 6th juz' of the Qur'an. The decoration on this folio differs slightly from that of the other pages of the manuscript. Thus, this folio is either from another Qur'an or the same Qur'an, with each section being decorated differently.
