Solitudinea ca stimulator al creativității

Solitude creates a very different experience for each person, depending not only on which kind of solitude it is, but also on the type of personality each person possesses. We can feel lonely in acrowded room when we are not with the right people, we can experience loneliness when we do not feelwanted, or we can desire solitude when we need to process our thoughts in complete silence. It is imperative to make a distinction between imposed solitude and desired solitude. Thus, my paper explores the manners in which the multifaceted nature of solitude has an impact on the creative process, in both literature and visual arts. Moreover, my study aims to prove the beneficial effects of chosen solitude on the writers' creative process. For this reason, I begin my analysis with past examples of works of art and literary works created by artists while being in isolation. In addition, I focus on contemporary writers and the COVID-19 pandemic's impact on their writing process. Ultimately, my purpose is to reveal the solitude's power of enhancing creativity and intensifying a writer's workflow.
