Dockers Leave for Westminster - The 1958 spire tops of the 1658 tower of the Church of All Hallows by-the Tower loom above today's marchers - dockers - who left Tower Hill for Westminster, London after taking a vote to petition their Members of Parliament on what they call a "blind policy of unlimited immigration imposed upon us and also our freedom of speech". When the dockers moved off carrying slogans and strongly escorted by policy they were about 300 strong. One docker said "We are mainly from the Royal Group but we have representatives from many other London docks with us". 26 April 1968
