The first trip of the steamer went to the Mediterranean. During the First World War on April 20, 1915, the steamer, under the command of Captain K. G. Andersson, resigned from Immingham with 2429 tonnes of coal destined for Gefle. 26 April at At 16.00, the ship collided with a mine near Fluttan’s bark (arc?) in southern Kvarken. “Centric” quickly began to sink with the foreman and the crew left her in the lifeboats. 10 minutes after the explosion, the ship sank. The two lifeboats entered Söderarm’s pilotstation, the entire crew escaped unscath.2
