Derniers regards sur la prédication réformée du Grand Siècle : Jean La Placette, Jean-Frédéric Ostervald et Pierre Roques

En dépit de son importance dans la liturgie, la prédication réformée du xviie siècle demeure négligée par les historiens du fait religieux, qui lui prêtent une homogénéité formelle que le présent article remet en question à partir de trois ouvrages relatifs à la prédication publiés au début du xviiie siècle. Leurs auteurs invitent à relativiser le magistère de Jean Claude et de son Traité de la composition du sermon sur les pratiques prédicatives en France et dans les pays du Refuge dans la seconde moitié du xviie siècle, et à formuler l’hypothèse d’une acculturation relative de la prédication réformée à la prédication catholique, à partir de l’essor du sermon de morale et de la technique du portrait.
