RECOMMENDATIONS ON PREPARING UNITS OF UNMANNED GROUND COMPLEXES FOR USE

View through CrossRef
This work is devoted to practical recommendations on preparation for the use of unmanned ground systems as part of a unit. The materials of the article provide a theoretical justification for the preparation measures for the complex use of unmanned ground systems as part of a unit. Justification of recommendations on preserving the ability to perform combat missions by a unit of unmanned ground systems while minimizing the number of people at the forefront of defense. The main attention in the work is paid to recommendations to the commander of a unit of unmanned ground systems on the organization and management of a platoon (department) during preparation for the unit's actions in the main types of combat and conducting military operations. The issue of developing new tactical techniques and methods of using unmanned ground systems is relevant, namely, the development of an algorithm for using units that are armed with unmanned ground systems at the operational and tactical levels, which are planned to be used in operations (combat, combat operations). Based on the above, the tactics of using a unit of unmanned ground systems in combat operations should be based on asymmetric actions and allow personnel to distance themselves as much as possible from direct contact with the enemy. The work provides recommendations: on individual training of operators of unmanned ground systems; on the algorithm of actions of a platoon of unmanned ground systems, at the initial stage, during a complex tactical and special (practical) exercise with live fire (combat use) (scenario variant); on the risks of the communication system, which can be used in the control system of unmanned ground systems; on the experience of using unmanned ground systems in combat conditions; on the tactics of actions of a unit of unmanned ground systems in defense; on engineering support for the defense of units of unmanned ground systems, etc. Promising areas of further work are: scaling of these projects at training grounds; scaling of the composition of forces and means of a unit of unmanned ground systems (company strongpoint, battalion defense area); testing of tactical actions and tasks of various nature by units of unmanned ground systems; practical training and further support for the implementation of individual special tasks by unmanned ground systems in the operational area; working out the issues of interaction between units of unmanned ground systems and other units of troops (forces) during the performance of training (combat) tasks.
Title: RECOMMENDATIONS ON PREPARING UNITS OF UNMANNED GROUND COMPLEXES FOR USE
