Effects of Whole Flaxseed on Productive Performance and Immune Response of Broiler Chickens

View through CrossRef
An excellent natural source of -linolenic acid is flaxseed. Feeding broiler birds flaxseed can increase omega-3 (n-3) fatty acids in meat tissues and improve growth performance and immune response. This study investigated the effects of whole flaxseed on productive performance immune response against ND and IBD disease with broiler chickens (meat-producing chickens). A Comprehensive of 200 newly hatched chicks were weighed randomly, split into two Identical treated groups (each with 100 birds), and placed in five replicates (20 birds each). T1 birds were fed an essential diet devoid of additives (as the control group). Nevertheless, T2 (treatment group) birds were fed a flaxseed-corn soybean diet using 75 kg/ton of flaxseed in the starter and grower and 100kg/ton in the finisher diet. A significant finding (P  0.05) was noted between treatments in weekly living body weight (BW), weight gain (WG), Feed intake (FI), and Feed conversion ratio (F.C.R.). The highest significant increase ((P 0.05) in productive traits (BW, WG (in the(T2) group that fed flaxseed from one day to 35 days; however, I and FCR decreased significantly ((P 0.05). Antibody titer was increased significantly ((P 0.05) of ND and IBD in the (T2) compared with the (T1). In conclusion, replacing corn with 7.5 whole flaxseed in starter and grower and 10 in finisher broiler chicken diet led to enhanced growth performance and immune response. It was additionally reducing the use of oil and soybeans in the diet.
Title: Effects of Whole Flaxseed on Productive Performance and Immune Response of Broiler Chickens
Description:
A significant finding (P  0.
05) was noted between treatments in weekly living body weight (BW), weight gain (WG), Feed intake (FI), and Feed conversion ratio (F.
C.
R.
).
The highest significant increase ((P 0.
05) in productive traits (BW, WG (in the(T2) group that fed flaxseed from one day to 35 days; however, I and FCR decreased significantly ((P 0.
05).
Antibody titer was increased significantly ((P 0.
05) of ND and IBD in the (T2) compared with the (T1).
In conclusion, replacing corn with 7.
5 whole flaxseed in starter and grower and 10 in finisher broiler chicken diet led to enhanced growth performance and immune response.
It was additionally reducing the use of oil and soybeans in the diet.
