A fragment of the inside of the bronze door of the Katyn chapel in the Field Cathedral of the Polish Army in Warsaw at 13/15 Długa Street. The door made by Andrzej Renes to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising was installed in 1994.In the lower quarters of the door there is an air badge from 1925 and the emblem of the Navy. Above them there is an inscription: LOVE REQUESTS SACRIFICE. In the headquarters, the banner of the Polish Air Force (1940-1947) and the image of the blessed chaplain Władysław Miegoń were reproduced.The church, built in 1701 and designed by Józef Fontana, underwent several reconstructions. After the destruction of World War II, it was rebuilt in the years 1946-1960 according to the design of Leon Marek Suzin. In 1941, the church gained the status of a field cathedral of the Polish Army.
