First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping early-career researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Brittany J. Carr is first author on ‘Distinct roles for prominin-1 and photoreceptor cadherin in outer segment disc morphogenesis in CRISPR-altered X. laevis’, published in JCS. Brittany is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the lab of Dr Orson L.
