Mazkur maqolada XVII asrda Yevropa madaniyatida keng rivojlangan Barokko uslubining dekoratsiya san’atidagi o‘ziga xos xususiyatlari, uning shakllanish sabablari, estetik tamoyillari hamda teatr, me’morchilik va rassomlik bilan uzviy bog‘liqligi tahlil qilinadi. Barokko bezak san’atining asosiy unsurlari - murakkab chiziqlar, hajmli kompozitsiyalar, dinamik simmetriya va ilohiy ramzlar orqali inson his-tuyg‘ularini ifodalashga qaratilganligi yoritiladi. Maqolada, shuningdek, barokko davrining yirik ustalari - Djyovanni Bernini, Piter Pau’l Rubens, Karavaddjio kabi san’atkorlarning ijodi misolida dekorativ yechimlarning badiiy mohiyati ochib beriladi.
