Teses brasileiras relacionadas ao pensamento algébrico no período entre 2011 e 2018

ResumoO objetivo deste estudo é o de inventariar a produção acadêmica de pesquisas em nível de doutorado nas universidades brasileiras relacionadas ao pensamento algébrico, possibilitando delimitar lacunas e tendências da área, contribuindo para o direcionamento de novos estudos. Para isso, apresentamos o panorama e o mapeamento das teses brasileiras no período de 2011-2018. Analisamos treze teses de diferentes programas de Pós-Graduação, por meio do conteúdo dos seus resumos. Categorizamos e apresentamos os dados pelas suas características físicas (ano, local, universidade, programa) e sua ênfase voltada ao tipo de pesquisa, sujeitos, materiais e objetos de pesquisa. Concluímos que houve ênfase na metodologia de pesquisa documental, as teses abordaram o desenvolvimento do pensamento algébrico em alunos e professores da Educação Básica exceto à Educação Infantil (crianças de 4 a 5 anos). Também foram realizadas pesquisas voltadas à formação inicial e continuada de professores generalistas e especialistas. Como lacuna, destacamos que não encontramos teses que tenham abordado o pensamento algébrico na Educação Infantil referente à aprendizagem dos alunos, à formação inicial e à formação continuada dos professores com ênfase nesta modalidade da Educação Básica. Palavras-chave: Mapeamento; Teses; Pensamento Algébrico; Educação Básica.AbstractThe main goal of this thesis is to catalog the academic production of research in a doctoral level in Brazilian universities related to algebraic thinking, making possible to delimit gaps and trends in the area/field of study, contributing to the direction of new studies. To make this possible, we present the panorama and the mapping of Brazilian thesis in the period of 2011-2018. Thirteen theses from postgraduate programs were analyzed by the content of their abstract.  We categorize and present data by the physical characteristics (year, place, university and program) and their emphasis on the type of research, subject, material and research objects. We conclude that there was an emphasis on documentary research methodology, these thesis addresses the development of algebraic thinking on students and teachers from Basic Education, except education for young children (children aged 4 to 5 years). Were also made research focused in the initial development and the continuous development of generalist and specialist teachers. As a gap/problem, we emphasize that we did not find any theses who talks about algebraic thinking on young children’s education about the student learning, initial and continuing education for teachers with emphasis on this modality of Basic Education.Keywords: Mapping; Thesis; Algebraic Thinking; Basic Education.
