Χωρίς τίτλο
View through Europeana Collections
In his early years in painting, Kliun experimented with various styles, including realistic drawings with aspects of everyday life, impressionistic landscapes, and several artworks that showed clear influences of symbolism, mainly in terms of subject matter. He referred to this period as "neo-Impressionism". One such example is the artwork "Untitled," where Kliun depicts an evergreen tree covered in snow almost in the centre of the painting surface, occupying most of it. The artist masterfully conveys the sensation of the landscape to the viewer through the unique use of colour, immersing them in the depicted scene. Simultaneously, he subtly engages the viewer's intellect, allowing them to delve deeper into the composition and its profound meaning.
