Erasistratus; “Antiochus and Stratonice”

Erasistratus was an important anatomist, physiologist and physician who had lived in the 3. century before Christ. He had made the first known dissection studies together with Herophilus and he had been the first one that made the detailed definition of cerebrum and cerebellum. Erasistratus had also been known as the doctor of King Seleceus’ son who had been ill for a psychosomatic disorder.
