The middle-aged man has dark-grey-meated undulating hair. His eyes are dark, his nose wide. He is dressed with a gray suit, striped tie and white shirt.
It sits on a broad, upholstered wooden chair; a dark curtain can be seen in the background on the left in the picture; to the right you can see a part of the wooden floor with floor bar.
Alexander Dinghas was a Greek mathematician.
In 1949 he was a full professor at the FU Berlin, at times as director of the mathematical institute. In 1951 he became an honorary professor at the TU Berlin.
