A field experiment was conducted at Agriculture Research Station, Binjhagiri, Chhatabar, Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha India during summer 2021 to study the effect of integrated weed management on weed dynamics and productivity of summer blackgram. The experiment was laid out in a randomized complete block design with 10 treatments replicated thrice. The treatments consisted of application of Oxyfluorfen @ 100 g/ha at 1 day after sowing (DAS), Castor + Calotropis @ 10% from prepared concentrate at 1 DAS, Nerium oleander + Eupatorium odoratum @ 10% from prepared concentrate at 1 DAS, Oxyfluorfen @ 100 g/ha at 1 DAS fb Quizalofop-ethyl @ 37.5 g/ha at 21 DAS, Quizalofop-ethyl @ 37.5 g/ha at 15 DAS fb hand hoeing at 30 DAS, Oxyfluorfen @ 100 g/ha at 1 DAS fb Imazethapyr @ 75 g/ ha at 21 DAS, Imazethapyr @ 75 g/ha at 15 DAS fb hand hoeing at 30 DAS, Oxyfluorfen @ 100 g/ha at 1 DAS fb hand hoeing at 30 DAS, Hand hoeing and weeding at 15 and 30 DAS, and weedy check. Among ten weed management practices, the minimum total weed density (7.33/m2), total weed dry weight (2.07 g/m2) and the maximum weed control efficiency (97.94%) were observed with hand hoeing and weeding at 15 and 30 DAS in summer blackgram at 45 DAS and proved superior to others. Hand hoeing and weeding at 15 and 30 DAS in summer blackgram also recorded the maximum yield attributes and seed yield (745 kg/ha) closely followed by herbicidal application of Oxyfluorfen @ 100 g/ha at 1 DAS fb imazethapyr @ 75 g/ha at 21 DAS. The regression analysis showed that the variation in seed yield brought on by weed density and dry weight were 97 % and 68 %, respectively, whereas, the seed yield and weed density in blackgram were strongly linked with pods/plant, and the regression explained 96 % and 98 % of variation, respectively.

Description:
A field experiment was conducted at Agriculture Research Station, Binjhagiri, Chhatabar, Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha India during summer 2021 to study the effect of integrated weed management on weed dynamics and productivity of summer blackgram.
The experiment was laid out in a randomized complete block design with 10 treatments replicated thrice.
The treatments consisted of application of Oxyfluorfen @ 100 g/ha at 1 day after sowing (DAS), Castor + Calotropis @ 10% from prepared concentrate at 1 DAS, Nerium oleander + Eupatorium odoratum @ 10% from prepared concentrate at 1 DAS, Oxyfluorfen @ 100 g/ha at 1 DAS fb Quizalofop-ethyl @ 37.
5 g/ha at 21 DAS, Quizalofop-ethyl @ 37.
5 g/ha at 15 DAS fb hand hoeing at 30 DAS, Oxyfluorfen @ 100 g/ha at 1 DAS fb Imazethapyr @ 75 g/ ha at 21 DAS, Imazethapyr @ 75 g/ha at 15 DAS fb hand hoeing at 30 DAS, Oxyfluorfen @ 100 g/ha at 1 DAS fb hand hoeing at 30 DAS, Hand hoeing and weeding at 15 and 30 DAS, and weedy check.
Among ten weed management practices, the minimum total weed density (7.
33/m2), total weed dry weight (2.
07 g/m2) and the maximum weed control efficiency (97.
94%) were observed with hand hoeing and weeding at 15 and 30 DAS in summer blackgram at 45 DAS and proved superior to others.
