Nathaniel C. Gerson (1915–2002)

Nathaniel C. (“Nate”) Gerson, an ionospheric physicist well known internationally for his expertise in high frequency radio wave propagation, died at his home in Millersville, Maryland, 11 January 2002. Gerson served on the AGU Special Committee for AGU/IGY Relationships in 1957, and was also active in AGU efforts at that time to improve the content and usefulness of the Transactions. He had been a member since 1946 (Space Physics and Aeronomy). He was 86 years old.
