Security and Trust 2024: based on the results of research conducted in 2013–2023 in Kharkiv, Vinnytsia and Khmelnytsia regions

The results of public opinion research of residents of Kharkiv and Kharkiv region on public security and trust in law enforcement agencies, carried out by the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs together with the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, the Sociological Association of Ukraine and the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kharkiv, Vinnytsia and Khmelnytsia regions in 2013–2023, are presented. Key indicators of the effectiveness of the work of law enforcement agencies in Kharkiv region and problems of law enforcement activities at the local level from the point of view of the public are analyzed, the expectations of local residents from law enforcement agencies are determined, and the problems of interaction with the police “before the war” and “during the war” are considered. The publication contains empirical data and practical recommendations designed to implement specific tasks in the work of the police and other law enforcement agencies for the needs of the local community. For law enforcement officers, scientists, journalists and everyone who is interested in law enforcement issues.
