Constellation Partitioning-Based Scma Codebook Design
View through CrossRef
Abstract
A new codebook design is proposed for sparse code multiple access (SCMA) uplink transmissions using constellation partitioning to increase the minimum Euclidean distance. The simulation results show that the proposed codebook design outperforms existing SCMA Codebook in terms of error rate performance. More so, the codebook is suitable for 5G wireless networks with massive connectivity requirements such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and massive machine type communication (mMTC). The proposed codebook design uses a sum-product algorithm (SPA) decoder, which improves the bit error rate (BER) performance. Thus, making the method of design a promising candidate for future wireless communication systems.
