Chest image, half phase right, the king is barved, inserted armour, pointed collar and blue field tie with gold tips. The boiler is sharp in the middle vertically. Retouches in the painting surface along the joint.
Simple black, profiled wooden frame. On the back two pairs of screw loops with metal wire as a suspension.
Jacob Hofnaegel (1676-1630 c) was a Flemish painter and lived in Sweden in the 1620s. The painting is attributed to him.
