This chapter discusses the anaesthetic management of general surgery. Surgical procedures covered include colorectal surgery, emergency laparotomy, laparoscopic surgery (including laparoscopic cholecystectomy and laparoscopic colonic surgery), appendicectomy, inguinal hernia repair, haemorrhoidectomy, testicular surgery, and breast surgery.
