SEVEN STEPS OF THE NOVEL ADAPTATION PROCESS INTO THE MOVIE OF FRIENDS BUT MARRIED 2 BY RAKO PRIJANTO

Literary works are a reflection of the conditions which realized through writing that aims to serve as a picture of life or as a medium to convey a message to the audience. This research discusses the steps of the adaptation process required in converting a literary work from a novel into a film. The problems in this research include: (1)) What is the description of the seven steps of the adaptation process of the novel "Teman Tapi Menikah 2" into the film "Teman Tapi Menikah 2" by Rako Prijanto?. The results of this research there are several aspects in the form of questions that must be considered when making a literary work in the form of a novel to be turned into a film including: (1) Who is the main character ?; (2) What does the main character want?; (3) Who is blocking it?; (4) How does the main character get what he wants?; (5) What is the message con-veyed in the story?; (6) How did the author tell the story?; (7) How are the changes experienced by the characters in the film Teman Tapi Menikah 2 by Rako Prijanto?
