Az SGLT-2-gátlók diabetológián túlmutató előnyei

Az SGLT-2-gátlók kardiovaszkuláris és renális előnyeire a 2-es típusú cukorbetegek körében végzett biztonságossági vizsgálatok (EMPA-REG OUTCOME, CANVAS Program, DECLARE, VERTIS CV) eredményei hívták fel a figyelmet. Ehhez csatlakoztak később azok a vizsgálatok, amelyeket közvetlenül a szívelégtelenség, illetve az idült vesebetegség befolyásolásának megítélése érdekében terveztek (cukorbetegek és nem cukorbetegek körében). A jelenlegi közlemény az SGLT-2-gátlókkal kapcsolatos új klinikai tanulmányok eredményeit tekinti át, kitérve arra, hogy ennek nyomán hogyan újult meg a klinikai gyakorlat. Az új adatok megalapozták a szakmai irányelvek módosulását is. Napjainkban annak vagyunk szemtanúi, hogy az SGLT-2-gátlók az eredetileg csak diabetológusok által használt antihyperglykaemiás szerekből speciális kardiológiai és nefrológiai indikációval is rendelkező készítményekké válnak.
