Against the SunConcept art for a Video Game

[EN] 'Against the Sun' is a concept art project oriented the video game industry with a format of action role-playing and adventure within the science fiction genre. Our main objective is the creation of worlds and characters contained in a narrative frame that defines their context. Within the specific objectives we find character design as well as props and environments through the methodology of concept art, the elaboration of a conceptual frame through quantitative methodology based on bibliographic sources and a referential frame where the aesthetic keys of the project are approached. In the elaboration of the conceptual frame there will be an approachment to the evolution of science fiction, its implementation into video games, the structure of action role-playing games and their characteristic elements. Within the referents in the field of concept art, we shall analyze the works of Ryan Demita and his specific work as an artist for Halo and Destiny. In addition, the contribution of Liger Inuzuka to Warframe and the works of Brian Sum in his own personal field. Regarding the grounds of video game structure referents, there will be a selection and examination of the most remarkable elements and mechanics of the games Dark Souls and Destiny, applied to the design interest of this project.
