Copper catalyzed Reduction coupling of N-tosylhydrazones with Anilines in water
View through CrossRef
This study presents a novel and environmentally friendly approach for synthesizing N-(1phenylethyl)aniline derivatives via reductive coupling of N-tosylhydrazones with anilines in aqueous media. The method employs sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) as a surfactant to enhance substrate solubility and facilitate efficient mass transfer during the reaction. Notably, this protocol exhibits broad substrate compatibility, scalability to gram-scale production, and the ability to recycle the catalyst, demonstrating its potential for sustainable and practical synthetic applications.
