Mount Zion - Jerusalem: King David's Tomb.

View through Europeana Collections
A pair of unrecograted postcards, including a mesh print from the same black and white photograph, showing King David's tomb in Mount Zion, Jerusalem. Each of the postcards bears a different number in the series of "Flafoot" postcards, and in one of the postcards part of the bottom of the photograph is interrupted, showing an excerpt from the inscription on the parlour. The postcards did not have the photographer's name or date of photography. Apparently, the original photograph was made in the 1950s. On the back of each postcard it was noted that they were from the "Photona" series these postcards were not used, and they were produced by Palphot, Herzlia in Israel, probably in the 1950s.
