Pencil drawing and colour scheme for unidentified stained glass window of St Augustine with dragon clutching a book of heresies under foot, Holy Spirit overhead.
Signatures/ Inscriptions: Initialled ‘W.D.’ [William Dowling] on bottom right hand side of pencil drawing. Bottom left hand side: ‘St. Augustine.’
Materials: Pencil drawing: Pencil and coloured pencil on off white paper. Colour scheme: Watercolour and gouache on off white linen. Both adhered overall to mount board with cream coloured facing paper, passe partout with double aperture.
Measurements: Pencil drawing: 24.4 x 5.4; colour scheme: 24.5 x 5.3; mount board overall: 42.2 x 25.2.
