The Diversity of Odonata of Jagannath University New Campus, Keraniganj, Bangladesh

A survey was conducted to study the diversity of Odonata at Jagannath University’s New campus, Keraniganj, for a period from November 2023 to December 2023. A total of 20 species, belonging to 19 genera (Crocothemis, Trithemis, Diplacodes, Neurothemis, Acisoma, Brachydiplax, Orthetrum, Rhodothemis, Macrodiplax, Rhyothemis, Tramea, Pantala, Brachythemis, Tholymis, Anax, Ceriagrion, Agriocnemis, Ischnura and Pseudagrion) and three families (Libellulidae, Aeshnidae, Coenagrionidae) of odonates were recorded. Libellulidae are recorded as the most dominant family of the order Odonata by contributing 15 species over Aeshnidae and Coenagrionidae.
