Pembungkaman Perempuan Subaltern dalam Novel Tafsil Tsanawi dan Nona Jepun: Kajian Pascakolonial dalam Perspektif Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak

This study investigates the representation and mechanisms of silencing subaltern women in Taf??l Tsanaw? by Adania Shibli and Nona Jepun by Sinta Yudisia. Employing a descriptive qualitative method with a comparative literary approach, the analysis is grounded in Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak’s subaltern theory. The findings demonstrate that subaltern women in both novels are reduced to military commodities through sexual slavery and physical violence. Nona Jepun foregrounds silencing through psychological intimidation and trauma, while Taf??l Tsanaw? reveals silencing through the manipulation and distortion of historical archives. These mechanisms indicate the systematic erasure of subaltern voices by colonial power structures. By juxtaposing Palestinian and Indonesian literary contexts, this study exposes underexplored patterns of colonial silencing across distinct geopolitical settings and contributes to postcolonial feminist discourse by foregrounding the silenced experiences of subaltern women as a critical site of resistance and historical contestation.
