Αμάν (amàn), âme-âne

View through Europeana Collections
The work "Aman (amàn), âme-âne" is part of a series of works where stoneware clay is the raw material of the sculptures he creates. Her experiences from her travels in African countries leave their mark on these works, which compose a set of narrative variations on the theme of man's attempt to control his fate and his environment through the use of tools. The donkey, the lotus, writing - and of course the human body itself - are the multi-tools that Iglesias chooses to trace with humour, compassion and sarcasm.
