About Korea in Korean. Linguistic Country Studies Textbook

The textbook on Korean linguistic country studies aims to develop students' professionally significant speech, language, analytical, informational competencies in the field of interlingual and intercultural communication, skills and abilities of translation and interpretation from Korean into Russian and from Russian into Korean. Studying authentic country studies materials presented texts in two variants of the Korean literary language – the "cultural language" of the North and the "standard language" of the South makes it possible for students to systematize their basic knowledge about the region of their specialization: two states located on the Korean Peninsula - the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the Republic of Korea (ROK). The textbook is intended for students who have an intermediate level of Korean language proficiency.
